No Network ID when scanning

the reason i asked somebody else flashed a box with a usb and adapter and had problems in scanning,flash with an early file like fta first and try a scan to check if it pulls in channels,if it does move up to nov 2011 and factory reset before flashing.dont forget to s/w update also.

As any one in the oxford area found a solution to Net I'd problem? Its seem that the issue are identical with no fixed so far??????????????

yes Cactikid apart from scanning from a friend house, since i dont know any body with a kv. i have notice several other post with the exact problem in the oxford area so am a little confuse whether to invest in a new box or not incase its an oxford area faulth......i have also looked at the starview please can you point me in the right direction i just want it to work even if i have to reinvest many thanks

dont even mention starview,people have subbed for service 6 weeks ago and still not working,
do any of your neighbours have a working vm box that you could get the info off it. settings_tech stuff_net ids.we dont know if they are trying new tactics or as you say an area fault
if vm boxes are working in the area kv should too.

forgot to ask if you have a bb contract or min sub

thanks again for your respond, am currently on Vm contract basic package with the vm box working perfectly, under tech stuff the net ID is just 20? with no other number after it, can you manualy set the net id on the kv?

finally once again u have turned ur box upside down it defo isnt a 790 u have? there are known probs with these models, many forums around nobody else with probs in oxford unless only 3 have been sold there?

i have turn the box upside down but nothing i can see to identifying it as A790 just the front of the kv with A780 on it. thanks alot everyone whats the best thing to do now?

Hello Cactikid, managed to borrow a different Kv and Sv!, result was the same good signal strength no signal quality is it worth trying a signal booster ? Although vm box is working ok

silly question does a vm give info on tp if it does you could manually scan in and see if it picks up.its like new frequency been used and box does not see it,hence kv looking into it.
