also is there anything new or fixes in the update ?

It appears to be a very 'lite' update only changing the default server address. You'll probably not notice any operational difference at this time although the release of the update may mean the original server address may become invalid at some point in the future.

If your having difficulty upgrading, then forget it for the moment until you've worked out how things should be connected for proper operation.

btw, cant say i've actually had a problem with the superhub functionality in the last 18 months. I usually prefer to use my own router (ddwrt) due to a complex setup but when i've switched back to superhub mode for tests its worked just fine.

hi i just tried to set it up in modem mode with the router but i wasnt gettting any interent it was connecting through the dlink router but my internet pages wernt loading up and my box obvs wasnt working either i tried messing about in the ip address setting changing the channels etc but nothing would work have i done something wrong here ?

its the super hub you put into modem mode,the link on post 8 tells you what to do first and when done run a lan cable from the super hub and add it into the router,another lan cable goes to the kv.hub router and kv might need to be powered off for 30 secs then on.

some have mentioned their box was running better after the update.

yes i managed to set my router up and put the super hub into modem mode and as i said i was getting connected to my dlink router but my internet pages wernt loading up or anything is there no way i can just get the update by downloading it off here n putting it on my usb stick ? .. or can you help me out with my router i dont get why its connected but not loading internet pages up !

just take your box to a m8s house ( if you have any )that has bt or adsl you dont need cable connection only internet and update then once done you can back up to a usb stick as coder said no change but new version of server so you do need to update as old server will go off

ps you will need to have v7 sw to be able to update v6 had lan update but would not connect to update server

my software version is 1.01.07 where you gerrin 7 and 6 from ?

i was told both were the same he means 1.07 which is on your box,you are 100% sure you are in modem mode even though you said you were.no firmwares for the 850 will be found anywhere.

yer positive mate the super hub goes purple when its in modem mode all my channels are scrambled now aswell will this be because i havent updated yet ?

bt and vm having problems ,should be back now,if not reboot box,modem and router as in power off all units for 30 secs then on.

finally got upgraded went to my mates (cos i do have some) and updated it thru his bt hub hurray
