Remote not working..? but works at friends house?

I have KV A780 remote or so i though was not working. I purchased a new one and that did not work either..? I took both old and new remote to friends house and both remotes work. My conclusion box is faulty, but this is surely un-heard of.?

I have clear sight of box, no obstructions so any help appreciated and no I can't factory re-set REMOTE NOT WORKING?

Any ideas appreciated

Yes, box works but I gotta press buttons on box to make it work

is there a clear plastic covering over the lcd display ???

its a fairly common problem caused by the ir remote sensor

So you know how to fix it then ??

open the box

take fronth cover off

locate the ir sensor

make shure its visible through the window ( a little push with your finger usually helps )

if that don't work fiitc

dont think a push will work unless the solders dry however a replacement will cure it
