Hi, I am new to the forum and am thinking of getting the a780.

A friend of mine has recently bought one but it keeps freezing while watching channels.

He has a VM 100mb line.

Anyone else experiencing the same or is it just his box?

Who is the best retailer to purchase one?

I am trying to flash a780. I will like to know if the software links on the first page is the latest or I need to look elsewhere for latest software to update a780.

if box was flashed with jan firmware 2011 you can do a software update to latest firmware to update it,dont touch anything while in progress.

Hi, i'm trying to flash my a780. I have the correct cables/drivers/port etc. Every time i press start on the stb loader a pop up reads, 'Downloading not requested' I have tried with the k/v box on and off, with scart and LAN in and out but always the same result. Please,please help!

is this the first flash on a new box?
first flash all u need is the serial lead in and follow the tut for loading the jan2011 file to start off.

when you hit d/l wait a few seconds then turn the kv on from the rear...

well if u follow post 252 u should get it going must be ur settings com port or something.

Have read/watched all the tuts, followed them all to a T for some reason when i try to load the s/w the stb loader tells me 'downloading not requested'
