is there any other way i can get the software off the internet download onto a usb stick as it dosent update through the virgin super hub help please !

If there isn't any changes in the firmware, it might not be worth the hassle upgrading / rescanning channels. Are firmware upgrades not meant to include fixes, improve stability or new epg etc? Its a bit like a PC motherboard when a new bios upgrade gets released, some says if its not broke, don't upgrade it....

Hi All, Sorry if there is an obvious answer to this question. I have V rgin media superhub therefore cannot download via internet. What's the procedure from doing it via downloading the disc image from the download section.

you just click on the Blue box that has "+ Download" written inside of it.

oooooops saw this and forgot to add how to

if file is in rar format it needs extracting first by a program called winrar also in downloads under pc,copy the file to usb as per instructions underneath.[/COLOR]
and no it does not come with the box.



flashing the box

Please follow the instructions below

(1) Format a usb pen drive to FAT32 on your PC first

(2) Then get the file you have downloaded and copy it across to the usb then

(3) Turn the box off at the back and put the USB into the front of the box

(4) Then turn the power back on to the box when the box powers up go to the menu and select Software upgrade press ok

(5) Then allow the box to reboot, after that you will see the cable scan option just scan as with the older box

Ps if you see on screen usb initializing all the time your USB pen has not been formatted to Fat 32

GUYS WHEN SCANNING FOR CHANNELS YOU MIGHT NEED TO SCAN ON ALL OF THE PROVIDERS MAKING SURE YOU FACTORY DEFAULT THE BOX EACH TIME, SO IF NO CHANNELS ON SCAN ON N*l SCAN ON EXCW, THEN TW, AREAS HAVE CHANGED OVER THE LAST FEW WEEKS AND AREAS HAVE BEEN CHANGED

it does update from super hub done mine with no problem
