I've upated my new box with this firware but the problem I've got is that I cannot get to a point to view any channels, it keeps defaulting to the main menu.

Can you please advise me of what I may have done wrong or how to get it to work.
        Any help is appreciated. THNX

I am assuming you have an A780?If not you have flashed the wrong image to the box.

Normally when you flash the new image you then have to go through the installation process choosing your provider and you then scan for channels.

Sorry, it is a 780 box and having flashed the box Iselcted the cable provider and then scanned for channels.

DO you think it's worth repeating the process again as I am a bit apprehensive about damaging the box or am I being too cautious. THNX

mate you wont damage the box. if its anything like any of the other kview you should go to installation, choose provider then either green or yellow button (cant remember which) then a list of areas will display, choose yours and basically that should be you. if you have had a bad flash just reflash but i would try a rescan first.

Thanks, I have tried the rescan but what I'll have to do tommorrow is to reflash and see what happens. I'll let you know how I get on.

Without stating the obvious but have you got it connected to the internet via the ethernet port? Also factory reset after the firmware update.

Thanks for the advice and yes it was connected to the internet. Although I re-flashed the box it was not needed as my mistake was the way I was doing the scan. After a few fumbled attempts I've got it working.

Just a few questions I would like clarified.

                    1. What does TP stand for?
                    2. The picture quality is not that sharp. Is there something I need to tweak?

Your help is very much appriciated and thanks again.

                      TP = transponder.

Have you altered the tv video settings in menu to RGB?

                        Yes it's set to RGB.
The aspect ratio is 16:9 and the dusplay format is set to FULL.

Ok guys in addition to the picture quality, I've got another problem which is that there is a distint yellowness in the picture. Do have any suggestions or do you think that the box may have a fault.

change your setting from RGB to the other option i don't remember the name and your picture should be fine.
