No can't record on them & they have had a few problems lately.
Seem to be best of cable-LAN boxes at the moment, maybe you
should sit tight for a while & watch forums to make sure probs
are resolved. If you have sat dish there are better options

on the free to air channels mine breaks up also no sky movies anyone else had this problem i have done a factory reset and still the same i have to unplug the etherbet cable to watch bbc1 which aint right

Is this only a recent problem. Check Prov website for any local
issues. Can you check Prov box for Prov name & NET-ID, some
areas have changed ID recently. Check all cables & connections
are OK. Check signal levels on box(bbc1 & other good channels)
In menu go to S/W update & check firmware is up to date
Unplug LAN-cable & fac-reset box
Auto-scan using correct Prov & NET-ID
Reconnect LAN-cable when scan is complete.
If problem is not resolved it's either weak signal or you mayhave
to check router settings. LAN-cable connected to box should not
interfere with channels unless PC is downloading

try turning your box off n on a few times till you catch the prog download.

updated my kv and everthings sound. whats this factory reset I am seeing on posts? do you have to reset every time you update as my kv box is working fine after the download

My 1st post, i have flashed the kv a780 with the 03012011 flash but am not getting any subbed channels, i have done factory reset then a rescan but no luck, ethernet and internet ok, any ideas?

i tried applying the new update via menu and it wont update its been going for half an hour, how long does it take

Not arf hour mate about 5 mins tops once its checked for update it restarts and updates jod done but its all down anyway............

I am having the same troubles as Ianso...just stuck on the Searching new update screen. I can abort the update, then the box just reboots.

Trying to update from 01/03/11 FW.

Any advice chaps?

01/03/11 was ok dindt see any difference with the update im not saying there wasnt any just couldnt see anything different mate............

Guys the service is downand has been since yesterday afternoon, i think until its back up and running which is anyones guess, you won't be able to update.

There will probably be a new update once its fixed to get KV boxes back up and running, but thats just my guess don't quote me on it im just guessing.

I can't update from my kvstb, it does not budge one mm when I press okay to update s*f*w*r* via said stb, it keeps freezing. I have to hit Exit and crash the box to clear the screen. I normally use 4shared - My 4shared - shared folder - free file sharing and storage
to get updates although said useful site does not have said fw just yet. I hope that 24/3/11 fw will soon be available on line.
