Kryptview 700 channels freezing and jumping

Bought one done all the stuff i need to have all the channels but there jumpy and keep freezing tryed changing cable to the output but its even worse.

any suggestions would be appreciated

i had the same probs with 2 of them.what is the signal and quality like you can see if you press info i think.i fixed one of mine by buying an variable atteunator.the q was always at 99 so i put attuenator on and fixed prob the other still has probs

The signal quality sits between 60 and 70, bbc channels only jump a little but the likes of sky sports it jumps loads

You could try a booster mate - circa ?8 from argos (slx) works well with most boxes.

Thanks for all the info and ideas folks much appreciated will give it all a try, one last thing how do you put the firmware onto the box have the programme to do it is there any special way of doing it or buttons on the remote you have to press ??????????

You just join the box and pc up with a null modem cable. Make sure your bos is off. Open up the software loader and hit download - quickly turn the box on and the box will start to flash.

Do not interrupt the flash process wait until flash successful message is displayed.

still jumping

Well bought the booster but its still happening, will give you all the info i can and see what you think, the firmware i have is 26.9.08, from the tp list i select perth cause thats the closest one to dundee, it finds all the channels but there all jumpy and sounds crap, ive tryed all the swapping from the input and output sockets but still no joy, on skysports 1 the s is between 60 and 70 even with the booster it stays the same and the q is round the same i have tryed the box on friends connections but no joy still the same, not sure what im doing wrong but any ideas folks i will try dont know what i need to get the levels up so it dosent jump but would love to know

Too strong a signal can be just as bad as too weak a signal. Adjust the booster starting lowest first to see if this improves the situation.

Tried both of those things mate thinking box is busted

the s stays at 77 does not fluctuate when booster up full but q seems to just jump around from 0 to 75 loosing the plot and will to leave need to see liverpool tomorrow

5/10/2008 firmware has a bug i think the boxes i have all seize up after 3 hours or so and require a power down to re'set them !! also im getting the 99% Q as well ? but all seems fine here in croydon (ex-TW) with the older firmware.
