hiya im having problems on flashing an a780. i connected the box through rs232 cable and loaded the firware and cicked on start but i get the message saying 'the downloading is not requested' i have tried all the coms but its not flashing please help me

yeah everythings alright plugged it in at the back but it doesnt work, used the remote aswell still get nothing, switched the power from the back of the box on and off but still nothing happens
why is this happening to me please help me

you might have a faulty box.
if you disconnect all cables and plug in in at the mains,
when you switch box on, display should flash something like "00:00".
if you then press standby button on remote, then display should flash "0n" then a channel number....
is any of this happening?Comment

the boxes come ready to accept fta channels.
if nothing is happening when you connect power and press the on button, then it looks like you have a faulty unit...
best contact whoever sold you it.....Comment

ive had one that looked dead nothing on lcd when switched on but it still flashed np's and the cause was cable from front panel to mainboard had come loose so it was easy fixed but if yours aint taking flash it sounds like summin else and if your dead sure about your setup for flashing being kewl then i would say send back.Comment
