      What can I do to boost the signal strength , ive just tried it again and when its scanning some channels the strength goes up to 88 but then on others it goes back down to 56

        is it possible to connect your box to your router using an ethernet cable and connect to your cable feed temperally just for testing?

          No mate I will have to get a good length of ethernet cable tomorrow and connect it up directly to see if im connected up to the internet properley , the home plugs are lit up though when I connect up to them.

            go into menu and select s/w update..
            post back what itr says on the screen.

                i am trying to estasblish wether your homeplugs are working correctly.

                if you have put newest firmware on box, then message should read "update not req"

                if you have an older version firmware then message should read "update in progress" and will automatically update your firmware to latest version..

                if you get anything, that means you are not connecting to server...
                keep watching see if box updates or you get an error message.....

                    disconnect your homeplug from back of your box and do it again....

                        if your box says searching for updates, it means that it cannot connect to the server...

                        if its possible,
                        connect your box via ethernet cable to router,
                        hook up to tv and hit s/w update again.
                        note that you do not need your cable feed connected for this....

                          hi all.iv got same prob as sum on hear.system info 09/09/2010 software version pv3.6.00 i get list . telepest. network. tick. ok net ID.go to 41016 liverpool. select press ok.TV CHANNELS OK. signal strenght 77/88...i get freview 1/2/3/4/5
                          then scrambled or no video and the box locks at channel 0124.will not switch of or change to exit or menu switch of at wall. back the same.can get virgin test 104.and on demand previews. 1/2/3/4/5 freeview.
                          i have got no spliters and erthinet to modem. is it the 780 box? i only pay broadband internet. no tv no phone.
                          ps i get a IPaddres conflict also on my w/less roter/computer. thanks

                            just heard from guy who got his devolo homeplugs from ebay today and had no joy

                            turned out to be the new white ethernet cables that come with homeplugs, used another 2 he had and sorted.

                                I too bought the homeplugs off a guy from Ebay , they are the Orange Devolo 85mb plugs and they come with 2 white Ethernet cables , maybe this might be the problem , ill have to pick a new cable up in the morning and test it
