    Please Help Kryptview A780

Hi I have a Kryptview A780. I have downloaded STB Editor and the bin file. I open STB editor, select the bin file then clcik start, turn in the Kryptview and then a error message pops up saying "The downloading is not requested" On the code send where it should show the download stage (percentage) it says read REQ fail!
Please can someone help as I have downloaded several .bin files now and keep getting same messages. Is this my box or something I am doing wrong?
    Thank in advance.

        depends on your pc.
on my mc when i connect my usb to seriel convertor. it flashes up on my control bar. on bootom right

you might need to check in your device manager.
try unplugging and plugging in your convertor and see if anything shows in your control bar

Sorry, I don't understand how these are numbered. on the back of my pc I am connected to the serial port. On the STB editor it automatically selects com port 1. How do I know which port to select as there are about 32 different ports to select on the drop down menu. Thanks

In the device manager it doesn't seem to show up. Would it be easier to buy a usb convertor for the pc?

I am using a RS232 (Female) - (Female) serial lead is this the wrong cable?

Whats the difference between modem and serial cable?

Hi I had the same problem.
When you click start you need to turn the box off then on again then it will download.
                        But mine is still scrambled???
