But if you put the wrong software on the box first, and then updated it with the net you would still have wrong firmware on the box check the menu system info and see what it says in there if it says a750 ya know its wrong

Mannchester 1 or 2 should work fine in Salford.

Is there a light flickering around the ethernet socket on the box when on a scrambled channel?

by the sounds of it, you have done everything correctly...

would be a good idea to try box in a diffrent location if possible, just to make sure....

If the box is faulty i cant even get money back or swap it, on the website where i purchased, it states no refund if software has been flashed on the box,gutted.
