the tv is in one room and the router is in another so i got two connections using wireless plugs one connected to the router one to the back of the box with an ethernet cable having removed the black sticker

when I start the installation I was told by the shop to click on ex cw and then all to start a scan they said manchster 2 area should then come up and select that -But no areas come on to the screen

I live in Oldham (someone has too i know) any ideas please and im not a young techno so please help in easy terms

after choosing cw from drop down menu press green button and select your area/net id from box that appears, it will do the rest

thanks for that but no box appears with any areas listed

shop just told me to connect the vermin cable to the back of box but that dont help either

on the two plugs there are three lights both have two green lights and the status light is red is that correct or part of the problem ?

Do not select "All" change channel type to "networked"

it should go like this bud

              installation
              auto-search
              select ntl
select network for channel search type
press green button and highlight and press ok for your net id that appears in box

              box will do the rest

thanks the only problem is that when i press the green button to start the search it brings up the screen that says
                1 already exists
                2 already exists
                and so on to
                7 already exists

then it does not say any areas and jumps straight to automatic scan

obviuosly it finds no channel cause I cant pick my area

                any ideas please ?

did you ever think you may not be on n*l??,as you may be on an other provider and then you may find your net id,only scan with coaxial plugged in.

                        Hi

Thanks I now got hundreds of channels

I read and earlier post and it said to switch of the box and then do a factory reset and hey presto it worked i got an area I had been told which was Manchster 2 amongst the selections

Only problem is now all the channels other than the ones we got from our vermin basic package say scrambled or no vid info

have I pressed the wrong area I live in Oldham

                        any ideas guys

                          thanks jok

the plug in the study has a ethernet lead that I have plugged into one of the four spaces on my router the lead to the pc is also in the same four socket space as the video shows for set up ?

the plug near the tele has a lead that has been put into the back of the a780 after I removed the black sticky cover

the plugs have three lights on them the top two are showing green/yellow flashing lights one says ap the other ethernet and a red light is showing on the other called status

                          any suggestions

Easy way to check if your internet is hooked up is to go to installation then S/W update
If box says Already updated. you are connected anything else and you need to set up your home plugs again

                              .
