Can anyone help please? SV7 issue

    Hi People,

Can anyone help with getting my SV7 box up and running.

I am followig the instructions below:

    1. download showmustgoon and put the .ups file ontop usb stick.
    2. pluged usb into SV7
    3. went to utility/usb then selected showmustgoon file
    4. carried out an s/w upgrade, system auto reboots
    5. then carried out a boot loader upgrade, system auto reboots
    6. Now go to Installations/auto search and carry out a search with Symbolrate set to auto, QAM set to 64, and short CH name set to off

At first 'S' and 'Q' are at 95 then they both drop and no channels are found, none at all not even the free ones or radio.

Can anyone please advice on how to rectify this. Thank you

Oh by the way i dont have any spliters on the input cable, i also disconnected from lan when doing the search, also when i installed the new software the appearance of the setup tools changed so the install did do something. Upon the install i no longer have any of the normal channels (bbc1/2 ITV...etc) so i cant go to a channel and press 1891 or 1819 (which ever it was) any help would be most appreciated. Thanks

how can you carry a firmware upgrade?? as the ,showmustgoon, was the last one so recheck system info,
factory reset, also make sure you scan correct provider as wrong one=no channels, dont forget to input the code on that channel ,then insert lan ,box modem and router may need rebooting.

Yes chose your provider like 6952, 6887, 6875, then press the search button when finished go to sky sport 1 and enamel by 1819.

Tools owned: Hammer, Chisel, Crowbar, Punch, Chainsaw, Cutter and Brain!!!

Did you know People will question all the good things they hear about you but believe all the bad without a second thought.

            Hello,

Thank you for the reply (this goes out to everyone)...However, I have checked the cable and it's all on ok. the software is view-2.01-ukc, ldr:01.13 (0909)

the provider is selected correctly (6887), it is as you explained no channels. I am assuming that if the scan does not find any channels then the code input wont work (can't be done) at the moment when i switch the box on i get the main menu options ..osd,control panel, time adjust....etc
so as it stande it's a dead box. one other thing worth mentioning is that i no longer have the ustream/istream options.

i hope this helps in finding a solution. Once again thanks.

                  Hi

Youve probably done everything right but server has been down so that might be the case with you.

Server is beginning to come back up and you maybe ok in a bit.

just load the new firmware after you scan the old one, after you put new one on, exit go to ss1, enter 1819, should work

Hi, i am trying to follow your instructons:

i re-installed the old carling software....scanned and saw all the channels (just identifed in the scan, but scrambled when trying to view)
now that the old scan is complete i install the showmustgo on software....did both s/w upgrade and boot loader upgrade in that order. Now i can not exit. i am stuck in the setup menu. if i turn the box off then on it returns to the menu..no channels.
