If there is no jumper then reflash the box and scan using the proved cable that's in the modem

tried modem cable already, also tried the one going into the virgin box. and also tried the main one coming into the house. all with same results. i think its got to be a problem with the box.

have you tryed taking new software off and puting it back on factory reset scan for channals with conecting to net when u finished put the internet cable in press 1819 on ssp1 switch it off for a while about hour c wot happens then if not working then dont no m8

sure you extracted ups from rar file then put on usb stick which is formatted to fat 32.just a guess ,let us know how uget on.

1 channel 4hd
2 discovery hd
3 nat geo hd
4 eurosport hd

none of which give any picture, prob cuz its not an hd box.

On your VM box Setting/Tech Stuff does the Net ID show
00015 is so scan of NTL.

When your fathers box was used he may have had a different provider

that was before nag3 but I suspect its still the same

my point was faulty firmware can cause problems,thats why i wanted you to erase it on stick and download a fresh one and reflash it again as that will default settings incase you changed something

I don't know what options a SV 7 has but on the older starviews you could do a manual scan
if you get a channel frequency off your subbed box you could try manually scanning that frequency to see if you can pick anything up

Smoggy,I presume you mean his Net ID which is 00015.

He is only picking up two different TPs which I believe is the lowest TPs on the box.155.000.& 163.000

Manual scan staring at 195.000 may work.
