The Box T - How to calculate correct Keys

Hi There guys .This is my first guide so i hope its easily understood. I?m presuming that the people using it know how to access hidden menus on there respective boxes if not do a search and come back
This guide is specific to people in Ireland using Terrestrial boxes as there are no firware fixes at time of writing for these boxes. This will also work for eurovox TX and i presume digibox T version too.
    Here we go

Go into hidden menu on Box and go to nagra the id 5E01 key 00 set to all zeros
then do same for key 01 ok to store and then exit.
    Let box auto update.
After progress disappears go back to hidden menu nagra 5E01 and write down key 00 and 01 keep safe for comparison
once again enter all zeros for both 00 01 and then ok to store.
Exit back to tv black sceen at let it auto update again
Once progress has disappeared go back to hidden menu nagra 5E01 now note down keys 00 and 01 again.

S.F.S.G you should now have 2 sets of 00 keys and 2 sets of 01 keys
But there are slight differences between each set of keys.

What you have to do is this for example

    00 - a1 b2 c3 d4 e5 f6 g7 h8
    00 - a1 2b c3 d4 5e f6 g7 h8

swap corresponding keys in each line so you end up with the following

    00 - a1 2b c3 d4 e5 f6 g7 h8
    00 - a1 b2 c3 d4 5e f6 g7 h8

one of the resulting keys is correct you just have to test which one by manually entering each

Do this for both keys 00 and 01 and you end up with only 4 possible combinations of keys one of them being correct combination

    Let the games begin

Please note that the keys above are my own keys from my wireless network at home

    Thanks for watching

I was wondering if you could help me. I did everything you said but after it updates and i go back into the negra menu i am only getting the same key 1 and key 2 values, and not different ones. Is there something i could be going wrong.

    Thanks for your help

      Thank you Gavin

All is back working again. Well done gavin. Very good first Guide post. A few minor points.

      In Dublin N*L is 5401.

Note the numbers after you get into the hidden menu. The way in is to go to System Information and click. Then type 1570 and the hidden menu appears.

Then you go to Nagravision and follow Gavin's instructions.

It might be a bit glitchy to get the keys to autoupdate but switching the box on and off worked for me.

        Thanks Gavin,
Can you please help me out here as I am a little confused with the process.
The following I noted when I followed your instructions on a BOX T. As you can see there are slight changes between the scans for both keys 00, 01.

        Thanks for your help,

        Philly.

You actually swap them Philly so you end up with 2 new 00 keys and 2 new 01 keys one of each is correct but i would delete the keys from you post as it is not allowed to post keys even if they are slightly wrong i suspect

          regards

          Gavin

Can you further explain why e5 and 5e are coloured since they don't seem to actually swap.

This is what I understand from the example:
                  ORIGINAL
                  00 - A1 B1 C1 D1 E1 F1 G1 H1
                  01 - A2 B2 C2 D2 E2 F2 G2 H2

                  NEW
                  00 - I1 J1 K1 L1 M1 N1 O1 P1
                  01 - I2 J2 K2 L2 M2 N2 O2 P2

                  COMBINATIONS
                  00 - A1 J1 C1 D1 E1 F1 G1 H1
                  01 - A2 J2 C2 D2 E2 F2 G2 H2

                  00 - A1 J1 C1 D1 E1 F1 G1 H1
                  01 - I2 B2 K2 L2 M2 N2 O2 P2

                  00 - I1 B1 K1 L1 M1 N1 O1 P1
                  01 - A2 J2 C2 D2 E2 F2 G2 H2

                  00 - I1 B1 K1 L1 M1 N1 O1 P1
                  01 - I2 B2 K2 L2 M2 N2 O2 P2

I presume the above is wrong - but what way should it be?

                          Hi Cauliflower,
I followed gavins instructions which worked perfectly. At first I was a little confused ( totally useless at maths in my school days). Here is what I did.
                          1. reset all keys back to 00 00 00 00 etc save and exit.
                          2. let box update.
                          3. now look at new keys and note them in two groups ie, 00 group 01 group.
                          4. Reset all again back to 00 00 00 00.
                          5. update box again.
                          6. now wright down the new keys directly below the ones you previously noted. They will almost be identical but you will see which keys are different.
                          7. Do the above for both 00 and 01 and you will end up with 4 rows of keys.
ie 2 rows of 00 keys and 2 rows of 01 keys.
                          8. Now move the non-corresponding keys on row 1 down to row 2 and make a note of this new sequence. This is your first new key to try.
                          9. Next move the non-corresponding key on row 2 up to row 1 and note this sequence. This is your second new key to try. Do the same with rows 3 and 4. This gives you 4 possibilities as mentioned by gavin. The second key worked in my case.

Hope this makes sense and has not confused you further.

                          Philly.
