Hi, ive just ordered a couple of rs232 - lan connectors as mine was faulty, my dads worked tho on my box so either the ones provided are slightly different or these should work, they cost me less than ?2 each, i will update if it works, the supplier i called wanted ?30 for a replacement.

I agree, brain, I would not be able to connect SV4/5 to network
But closed source is only closed until someone clever enough or
someone with insider knowledge hacks into it.

Do you not think people have tried, and you dont think Sv is that stupid do you, even if they did the main board would not be capable of doing it, the board would also need further development as well for the ethernet to work on it.

Thanks for feedback, Becki. If ?2 connectors are same make & model as one STVU supply they should work OK as drivers on box
will suit connector. If they are diff make they probably won't work as they will need diff. drivers, unless you can install drivers
on PC & transfer them onto box from PC. If you need cnnector try e-mail skywonder for price. Cacti says they carry them.

Hi, they came but didnt work, ive gone to skywonder, just ?30 seemed a bit steep, the guys helpful tho, he said they are major delicate and break easily, so dont drop them guys...
