    Starview 2 Set-up

    Hi,

    New to the forum and I'd appreciate a bit of help. I had Starview 2 working until yesterday. I attempted to re flash and now am in a situation now where I can only get the main menu.

    When i plug the lead into the box the laptop prompts me to install hardware for the box, I just cancelled this????

    Anytime I try to re flash it tells me flash failed when tried to run the new firmware or any firmware.

    Any advice people?

      what do you mean only main menu if it comes on it should be working

          Thanks for the reply

          The box was working - ie I had a number of channels. Now when I turn it on I just get the main menu - with parental control and channel edit greyed out - and cannot even exit to the channels I had already. Any idea what the trouble could be pls?

              Never seen this mate can you get another sv2 and flash from it

                      Factory reset

                      I presume a factory reset is just clicking on factory settings?

                      If so ive done this.

                      Also, when I try to flash it just stays at 0% and eventually comes up with flash failed......

                          It sounds like you put wrong flash try switch box off load loader hit download then switch box on.

                              I've tried downloading with the box on and on standby (with just the time showing) and no good - still get the same flash update fail....

                                      Its a serial to USB lead lead I am using....

                                              Try different comm ports or different usb slots,sometimes you have to keep on trying until you succeed
