The Box Super problem - please help.

yes tried it with that still the same but seems to restart every half hour

have u tried a factory reset ....turn emu back on and then press DEFAULT ..gets rid of dodgy keys ......hope this helpsbigfella

put ur sv box on stand by...connect to m 8 s computer with the null modem cable...goto downloads section ...download lastest firmware,,,8.04 for sv3 ...select the correct com port was com port one for mine ,,,but u can try the others if u have a problem... download //.flash to box....goto menudo a factory reset..choose lanuage ..english....goto auto scan ...wait it till scans.......you then need to turn the EMU on ...goto menu press 1 5 7 0 on the remote...takes u to secret menu...goto emu or keycode and turn on ,,turn on default...then exit 3 times to sly sports //wit for updating 10 20 30 to 100% then shud b ok ...hope this helps ...bigfella

I am trying to net new firmware for Starview Super Box but it says I can't download without going to a forum. Why's that and do I have to start a new thread or what?

Hi DKUSER you will need to wait up to an hour or so after your first post for server to update before you can download then go to the red stickys in the forums

I'm about to put my box in the bin.I've spent all afternoon and eventually managed to upload the 8.04 firmware to my 'super' box, but the box keeps powering itself off with an L8do error every 2 mins so I don't have a chance of re-tuning it.Does anybody have a clue what to do now.Please help me!!!!

I got the box from some fella who a coupl of my mates had bought from .They have no problems with theirs but even though i've now managed to update to 8.04 I/'m still getting re-boot problems.I've checked and it's a genuine box not a clone.

beno.....try 8.02 flash...do a factory reset ...remember to turn emu and default ..this will get rid of bad keys...choose english..choose local cable provider..autoscan....turn emu and default on ...exit to sly sports .....hope this helps ...bigfella

I solved my problem the following way:

Put the box in its packaging
Get in your car
Take it back & kick off
Swap it for a Eurovox

Sorted - Better pic, more reliable.

lmao like i said davey sorry couldnt get ur starview up n runnin but sometimes u just get a knackered box ..which ever box u get...suppose it s the gamble u take with these....but glad u got sorted in the end ..all the best ...bigfella

Sorry to bump and hi-jack this thread, however I also have the same problem.

Bought it from SatandCable.
First the box would just constantly freeze but now when I try to switch it on, it says boot then LD:80 on the screen then the box dies.

I can't get the machine to work so I can reflash or set to default settings now. But when I had the freezing problem I did try both re-flash and restore to factory settings.

The box is like 4/5 months old and I have been having the problem for the last few weeks.

Spoke to SatandCable but they said, they cannot do anything because I flashed it. Is there anything I can do?
