The Box Super problem - please help.

Just bought the box super, and when I turn it on it says "boot" on the lcd display, then Ld80, then nothing. The Box Super screen displays on the TV but the box will not respond at all.

I dont have the correct connection for the null modem as I use a Macbook. Is there any way of resetting the box to its original state at all?

No, it wont go past the screen which says TheBox Super. The box doesnt respond to anything, remote, buttons on the box, nothing.
Yeah I can use another PC with the correct connection, but Im all new to this. My mate has a box, he plugged his in and it worked no bother! Could you help me?

u gonna need to reflash with v8.04, dont no anything about macbooks, if u have the NULL modem lead and firmware can u put it on a m8 pc and try that

put ur sv box on stand by...connect to m 8 s computer with the null modem cable...goto downloads section ...download lastest firmware,,,8.04 for sv3 ...select the correct com port was com port one for mine ,,,but u can try the others if u have a problem... download //.flash to box....goto menudo a factory reset..choose lanuage ..english....goto auto scan ...wait it till scans.......you then need to turn the EMU on ...goto menu press 1 5 7 0 on the remote...takes u to secret menu...goto emu or keycode and turn on ,,turn on default...then exit 3 times to sly sports //wit for updating 10 20 30 to 100% then shud b ok ...hope this helps ...bigfella

goto downloads section on this site and will provide u with a link for download ..you shud have no problems just click on it......

you'll need to download the latest software from this site .
go to top of page
select downloads
select starveiw files
select GTRom_Super_8.04e.exe : Latest firmware/loader for The Box Super (Starview 3). and with the information that the other guys have given i think your good to go

same prob i just had download v4.03 and the logobg filefrom the downloads section. install the logo file switch off and on at the back of the box straight away(select background data file) and it will come up error i think then the display on the box will say on. it will then work as normal

O dear spoke to soon when you turn the mains off and back on you have to put the boot logo in every time

It wouldnt even go past the box super screen. It said boot, then Ld80 then went blank. Wouldnt respond to anything.

Ive flashed it 4 times now and it says F.L_r when the flash is burning. Then it goes blank again.
