anyone got any tuts on how to flash my box please have firmware and cable just need tutorial or is it easy follow the loader

we are all learning each day -
First of all make sure you have the latest firmware on the box. Should be 4.57
You check this from the menu - System setup/System information
If you haven?t got 4.57 you can download it from the sticky threads.
You will also need the loader
Once you have flashed the new firmware go into the menu and do a factory reset.
Rescan the box choosing your local cable provider.(N*L etc) Choose english-autoscan
Once the channels have saved, exit out 3 times.
Press menu and then 1570 you will go into another secret menu.
Highlight the default key and press ok.
Then scroll down to the emu and turn it on.
Exit out and put your box onto a S*y sp1
Wait for it to update. This may take a while.
You should be now all up and running.

the box super is pre loaded in the GT rom loader whereas you have to manually insert the bin file in the loader with box ,hope this helps.
do apologise this info is wrong as satsmo says its the 457v bin file for the box starview 2

You titled the thread "Starview The Box" hence the replies. Just verify have you got a Starview 1 or a Starview 2, (called The Box)?
It will say what model it is on the front of your box.
In relation to you problem it sounds like a bad flash. A hard boot flash should get it working for you. Just verify what box you have and we can take it from there.I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer. - Douglas AdamsComment

OK then as said earlier you need "The Box" firmware and loader. Which you probably have from earlier posts by others here.

Sounds like the logo file is on it as you say it says "The Box" on screen. If you cannot get into the menu try this to flash:
1. Turn off the box from the back switch.
2. Load 4.57 into the loader.
3. Hit download and wait a few seconds.
4. Turn box back on from the back switch.
It may take a few attempts but will work. Do a factory reset after flashing and rescan. Turn key emu back on and let it update on a scrambled channel.I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer. - Douglas AdamsComment
