starview 4 USB EPG late night issue

Hi i live in Ireland and my epg is never really fully populated just 1 or 2 programs a channel,I'm on chor*s is this normal and when i press the green button when on epg it does nothing any help would be appreciated,

Yeah I also get the 11:00pm issue with the epg, Didn't mention it though as it seemed like a very minor problem. Very happy with the starview 4, It's a great little box. Just hope I don't for any reason get the dreaded 8882 error.

Having the same problem with 1.07 EPG only seems to extend about 6hours then stops at 11 - 12 midnight so i reverted back to 1.06 and it is still the same tried a system restor reloaded and scanned again made sure that the time was set correct because that can put the EPG out as well but still the same i am from the north east v****n but it seems to be a problem all over the country

Thought it was just a regional issue obviously not. But it seems to only last from 11pm to 12am, so yes it points to a firmware bug.

Do you all have the EPG update button with 1.07 or has it gone missing as said?

When I download EPG using the gree button button, it only stays there if I do not put the SV4 in standby mode. Each time I switch it on, I get no EPG whatsoever so have to download again. Is there a trick to save it over the standby/poweroff?

I have the same probs.only have starview 4 for a week so i thought it was me.my mrs says i should be in bed at that time anyway

having the same problem pressing the green button gives full EPG for days but if you switch off you get no EPG again untill you press the green button again i have not tried recording using the green EPG but i think i will try and set the recorder for abour 8 hours in advance and turn the unit on stand by and see if it records - i will inform you as to weather it worked or not

sorry for posting this reply late - i have the green EPG button on 1.07 have been able to record up to 8 hours infront with the unit turned to stand by but when i tried to record 12 hours infront it showed the recorded program in the HDD menu but when i tried to play it all i got was a blank screen then after about 30 seconds it swiched to the chanel i was watching but i found that if i leave the power on and set the recorder for any thing up to 2 days it will record the program and if i have the unit on the same chanel that i am recording it dose not turn off at the end of the recording but if i am watching a diferent chanel to the one that i am recording it turns the unit off = (strange) but at the moment i am more than Happy with my BOX SUPER USB

I press the green button to update EPG but still has blank spots on some channels.

Its not nice but you cant complain for what your getting already

Ill do some more testing when i get time
*factory reset
*rescan channels
*deleting unwanted channels (maybe to much epg to update)
...ect

ok yea still have that bloody epg issue.
thought to myself ok fine ill factory default reset the thing

done
checked some channels ..put it on sky sports 1...went into the menu entered 1570 ... selected default emu and key turrned ON.

waited waited ... on sky sports just saying updating

so changed channel and and just checked my EPG issue.... still some epg missing, but this time had no green button to scan the epg.

so i did this ..and looks like this is the order of which u should do it...
Factory reset.
auto scan channels (TW)
quicly exit and in menu enter 1570
set emu default
and key on
exit ... go sky sports 1
leave it there .. for updating and boom channel is there.
checked epg ...and still channels missing but green rescan was there...after rescan still channels missing

However after a recent power outage I turned the box on again and now find that I have a green button and have to press the the full epg download button every day to get an epg...weird...

im from london...and i too can also confirm that the EPG has gone missing.

since thursday, i have had no epg at all...just a blank blue
