This can take quite alot of time to update sometimes aswell, up to 2 hours rather than minuites. Do you know for sure if it a clone or not, its best to flash with core-257 if not sure as this will fix both clone and genuine

If you've flashed your starview 1 with the latest firmware and the box has sucessfully scanned in your channels , it's a genuine starview , as the fix wouldn't work on a clone Mate.
Check you've flashed it with the correct firmware , as it sounds
like it wants the keys putting in manually were it should autoroll .

Just to add to the confusion. I have flashed a starview clone with the 400 flash and its fine.
Not getting all the EPG data though could this be somthing to do with the 400 flash???

It was never a great box for EPG. But make sure your time settings are correct, turn the box off from the back switch and then back on.

              It may improve it slightly.

Latest firmware versions for the SV1 is here Digital Kaos - Downloads - Starview 1 UK AU Fix v1.5

You will see two files, one for a clone and one for a genuine. It will indicate which is which in the download notes.
