STARVIEW 4 THE BOX SUPER USB . . . . HELP NEEDED!!!

hi,

i purchased a Starview 4 box today and have no idea what im doing.
i did have NTL/VIRGIN and the cable is still live.
i took the cable from the NTL box and used an adapter to plug it into the CABLE IN on the Starview box.
connected all to my tv.

the box boots up i can go through the channels however every channel has NO SIGNAL written on the screen....
i have checked the signal on the Starview box and both signal strength and signal level are both 0% with the word UNLOCK above it.

i have searched numorous threads and cant find any info on what to do.

have i done something wrong or is it something ive missed?

i have gone into the secret menu and the KEYCODE is on.

some help would be much appreciated

First of all make sure you have the latest firmware on the box. Should be 1.07
You check this from the menu - System setup/System information
Let me know what it is

yes done the update to firmware 1.07

made no difference??

Take a look at Lanxman's quick start guide for the SV4 Digital Kaos - Downloads - Tutorial for setting up starview 4 super usb if as you said it says no signal, you have either scanned on an incorrect provider or have not connected the coax to the cable in RF socket on the back of the box.

Providing as you said that your connection is live.

ill take a look but the coax is plugged with an adapter to change it from the NTL VIRGIN screw in type to the normal RF ariel type

i done the search using the NTL provider as that seems like the obvious one to use

Re read my post above, there is lots of infomation but you just have to find it, read the tutorial guides on this site.

I have shown you some instructions, NTL might not be your provider and there is loads of info here on your box.

yep ive read the step by step guide and will try it at half time on the footy.

when i said there is no info i mean for a newbie that has no clue about the boxes. . .

YOU LOT ARE LEGENDS. . . . WORKS A TREAT NOW ALTHO I DO HAVE LIKE 3 OF EACH CHANNEL.

After the game do a factory reset and rescan again on your provider, then turn keycode back on. Should sort out the triplicate channels issue.

I have tried following the tutorial but when i download firmware 1.07 i only get the main file and not the icon file that is mentioned and therefore i assume this stops me getting all channels.

are you able to tell me where i should find the icom file please?
