factory reset .....goto menu on remote...goto system set up...>< got factory default<> put 0 0 0 0 code in press ok...box super logo cums up followed by language ..choose english..ok...do a automatic scan choose ur local cable provider eg ntl telwest or wat ever....scan,,,,,,,,,wait till scan finished....takes about two or three minutes,,,,,dont forget to turn keycode on....goto menu press 1570 on remote turn keycode on < > then turn default on and exit to sly sports wait for it to update takes about a minute then u shud be ok ............read the threads all the answers r there

having the same problem my s/w version is as follows:
model id- c500
s/w version- 1.06
boot version- b-11
date- dec 10 2008.

i am a first time buyer of one of these boxes and have no clue what to do next please help.

kirsty 1.07 is the lastest but i think 1.06 shud still be ok ...have u turned the keycode on ..... press menu on remote ...press 1570 on remote ..goes to secret cas menu....turn keycode on by pressin < > on remote ..press default on remote ,,,exit 3 times to sly sports and wait till it updates ...takes a min or two ..then u shud be ok
