just bought the SV5 and i cant put firmware on i've in the past had a SV 1,2,3,4 so know how 2 put firmware on has the security chip got any thing to do with it. it's saying this files not for this ird i've tried the 2.02 and 2.03 . Any tips ?? Thanks

Have you formated the usb too fat32?
before putting the file on the usb drive

goto control panel select admin tools, then select computer managment, select storage,then disk managment you should then see the usb stick when you find it select fat 32 then format m8 It is faster to use the pc than to do it with the Sv5

how big is the usb stick and the file u r importing to the stick is it a rar file or a bin file ?

where did u get the firmware m8 . is there another one in my link in my sig below .. try another in case thats corrupted
