    Starview 3

Starview 3 has gone off is there a new firmware for this box or is it manual key updates?

the codes have rolled the last three days running, but if you have the latest firmware on your box it should still auto update them if you have previously been inputting the codes manually then you will need the new ones as they rolled again this morning

Check what firmware you have on the box.
      Menu
      system info
      Should be 8.02 or 8.04
If not you need to update firmware or key manualy

if the new codes came out this morning they will be working now. have you done a rescan. right provider. also what firmware is on your box why not just update it.

guys i have a starview box super. i tried to install the 8.04 on teh box, the only option i was allowed to use when downloading was using: serial port COM3: baud rate 115200
but when i select download, i get an error saying flasc failed. this is the same whether or not the box is on or off.

normally all you need to do is menu, 1570, default. then exit to sly spts1, leave to update.

thanks for those, my sly channels are ok though, but i get a no signal for channels 1-5 and loads of kids tv channels are scrambled as well as the new e**n sports.

i've no idea about firmware etc, i've never done the downloads myself, what cables etc would i need to put the 8.04 onto my box.

You should not have a problem with 8.02. 8.04 was a little ugrade(nothing major)

Try doing a factory reset and rescan.
You will find instructions how to do this in previous threads

im based in dublin ireland, so not 100% sure if this will work here.
                            2nd
not sure how to flash the box,
                            im doing the following
running GTRom super 8.04, i can only select COM3(all other options for the serial port tell me they cannot open the serial port)
when i run COM3: serial port, baud rate: 115200, STB setting/BIN file: left greyey out(blank), File type: app file only

with these setting selected i select download, and a couple of seconds later i get a message saying downloading 0%, then pop up box "flash update failed"
