Starview HD Combo

Just been looking at this online, can you add firmware to this and recieve all channels just like my Starview USB2 can? Does this work with Sky and Cable? If so what is the firmware called? Just new Cheers

you cant hack Sky If you buy this HD receiver now, you should get your moneys worth, but dont trust me on that After SV 3, SV really screwed their firmware up big time. Eurovox have released many beta versions before an official release, but it seems that Starview make firmware that works with many problems with the attitude if you can get free TV out of it, quit your moaning ever since the release of SV 4.I would get a Eurovox instead as the sat side only gets you FTA stuff, seeing as theres no ethernet port and I seriously doubt these can s/s like the predator 8700 which costs a lot more for SD

Sorry for that tongue in cheek post, however its widely known that whatever you do to your dish or receiver, you cant hack Sky. I did say in my post above yours, so thats why my post was tongue in cheek, seeing as though I dont think you read my post

you dont just get fta, these are patchable now, will pick plenty up on thor with patch. dongle for ethernet out soon, ****. they also accept all cards and cams.

Please refrain from CS discussions. How long the patches work on Thor is another thing once migration to N3 is complete.

Starview HD Combo

HI i am new to Starview HD box, i wanted to know after installing the sofwtare would i receive all the channels or just FTA. like previous starview boxes after installing the software you get all the channels. and if someone could tell me what verison or what file name do i need for Starview HD.

If you have one of the first HD Combo boxes, you need the Groove Rider firmware. If you have the Starview HD Combi + (plus) with a LAN ethernet socket, then you need the LAN version. They are both in Downloads.

your password is 0000, if you forget it master 1668.

1570 is used to acesss cas menu, press menu followed by 1570, and turn keycode on.

i have recently purchased starview combo+ . installed firmware and working fine on cable(after following steps on here. having probs with the SATELLITE side though. Installed the channels but only viewing FTA channels. anything i am missing. What is cccam? do i do anything on that front. PLEASE HELP. Anyone with the follow on steps to get it working.
