Starview 5 need help

Hi guys I have just purchased the starview 5 usb 2 and have the usb stick and I have tried to download the update but adobe reader says file cannot be opened as it may be damaged. please help am at wits end and as you can guess i am new to all this updating and havent a clue what to do next

Hi Guys, New to the forum, looks good. Had a starview 1 for a couple of years now but my friend has purchased latest version and hasn't a clue where to go with it. I kind of know the route I want to take but obviously looking to gain permission to download relevant files and hope to contribute worthwhile posts in future. Thanks in advance.

I've got as far as obtaining all the channels, but when I try to connect to my external hdd via the usb port the box stalls. The hdd has been formatted with fat 32. Any suggestions on how to get the starview 5 to recognise my hdd (storagebird 35ev840).

Reading your first post it seems you had the box on when connecting usb or hd in the tut it says box should be off not ON
If the box wasnt on it would not stall

I don't think I plugged it in, on, but if I did is it reversable, as I have tried again and it still stalls.

Hi my First post

I'd like to say thank for the Star-view 5 Info. I got the info through a friend who already uses this forum.

Works like a dream and a lot more simple than the old star-views boxes to set up.

Now I have signed up will browse and use myself in future.

You should be able to now m8 it takes the server i think about 15mins to sort it out.

You could try a factory reset see if that cures it.
