Ok, thanks. I haven't got the box at the minute, it's still with the father in law. If i put the correct file onto a stick and insert it into the box, will it do everything automatically? I'm sorry if i'm asking basic questions, i haven't even seen the thing yet!!!!

Just tried the latest version of the software ( thanks Satsmo!) and it is all working fine. The old software was failing at 20% of loading, but this latest version 0130 works fine. Was wondering if anyone knows which would be the best band/frequency(symbol rate) for Virgin, as some of the channels are freezing? thanks.

does the 0212 include the 'csnet' part of the 0130 firmware. i am currently on 0128, and was meant to flash to 0130 until i saw your post. so i can skip 0130 and lose any features?

also who is in contact with the starview team? i would like them to build a better remote for the box (build quality not features). willing to pay for the extra obviously.

For the LAN box you can go straight from 128 to the latest FW as per the readme I put in downloads.

Regards a new remote I do not see your cash going too far in Korea Joking aside the remote seems fine in my opinion I have seen a lot worse.

Freeze

i tryed my line in my dreambox and itwas fine but when i put it in my starview it will play up Freeze etc really bad im running the new firmware does anyone no why

Hi mate..your not the only one..ive finally come to the conclusion that these starview hd boxes are absolutely shite..ive had nothing but glitching on every single fw thats been released..even this latest fw 0212...makes my box glitch after glitch...piece of crap..gonna be getting rid of it asap...why dont these starview manufacturers do sonething about this ~~~~in box...my advice to anyone thinking of buying..DONT BUY THIS PILE OF SHITE..oh yeah ive tried at least 3 different cs servers by the way..

have you tried a factory reset and auto scan again,with all the crap happening maybe it is a signal issue,do you have a splitter on line?
have a look at all the other posts with boxes having problems also.

tried a factory reset and auto scan theres no splitter its the sat side, cable side is fine thought it could be my internet so took the box to work only 10 meg at work but have 50 at home same issue so abit lost have two of these as well both the sameits like the box cant keep up
