You should be able to record any prog on hdd & watch it thru
Combo hdd will not need ext power supply unless hdd you use
is designed for use with it's own power supply

My friend is using Kryptview A780 box with cs. I thought getting this box because if anything goes wrong at least I can connect dish and watch/record freesat channels. But people say N3 won't work in this? Is it diffrent for Kryptview A780 or is that the only box which works with N3?

Combo-LAN box will clear encrypted N3 channs on cable when it
is connected to broadband router. It will also clear all channs on
sat side if connected to a server. Have my doubts about SV server
on cable but should be fine on sat if connected to decent server

Even though I play around with firmware in this box and failed at some point (to get cable channels), still I can use this to receive freesat channels and use this as freesat pvr? Is it ?

You can use as freesat PVR or you connect to sat c/s server to
get all channs
Or you flash box with latest firmware & get all channs on cable.
Your first post you didn't have Combo box & your latest post sounds like you have installed firmware on Combo box
If you have Combo box & need help come back here with query
Check whether box has LAN connection

kryptview has its own server if that goes down end of.
if you are talking about the combo it has 1 year from first connection to starview server then it will end,the sat side will work with a new inputted server [ google cccam for more info ]

No I don't have any (Currently have VM lowest bundle). My friend use KV A780 box and told me he is having all channels with free cs and asked me to search more if I go for another box (he said some cs have subscriptions and not free). I like this box (with lan) because it's HD, can record and connect cable as well as sat. But reading whole day today, bit confused about wheather I should get KV A780 or this box?
Reading through KV A780 thread, it seems like the only one which can handle nag3 is that? Any help on comparison of these 2 or link?

Hi, i just wanted to find out i have just got a starview hd non lan combo and i wanted to find out do i need to connect it to the internet to get all the channels or do i just install grooverider and hd300e boot? please help me ASAP and also can you let me know in a dummies version as i am not technical.

My hd combi + was working on cable - lan for the past 12 months and has now stopped 2 days ago cannot seem to get it working at all im in the Birmingham area can anyone advise or help? box still boots up ok and I can get into all menu's

Far as I know NO LAN--NO INTERNET CONNECTION
Think best you can do is connect to sat dish & get all FTA channs

mate, there's a thread in the main listinds....whoever does this has said something 'burned' and are awaiting newer materials....etc etc..sounds like to me...

i am changing to kryptoview if this persists as i had ny fisrt SV HD 6 with no lan become a 'doorstop'
