Hi apologies in advance as Im not technically minded. My starview 4 has gone off and I have tried to restore from forum info ie factory default and menu 1570 however still no luck . You mentioned that you now have firmware and are back on. How do you get firmware ? is it something that has to be downloaded fom pc. Thanks

at the front of the box can you please tell me which box it is and I will guide you to the correct section and firmware.

Writing Starview 4 is just confusing and installing the wrong firmware will brick your box.

So check exactly which box you have post back with the exact name please mate.

who ever can help me...please ok so my box has been down for almost 5 days now. no signs of life so to speak. the box is: the box super usb. there is no other brand name on there. have done everything to get back on. but have got no where. am in leicester. have connection through virgin. all reboot have been done. eg menu 1570 nagravision> key code. scan> still nothing. im totally lost...... so all advice welcome thanx

Hi i have the box super, API version 8.02e_E, boot version 8.0, 30 Nov 2008. can anyone help me on how to get my channels back, some channels are working through NTL but i was using TW when all the channles were there before. thanks and tc. where are you? have you done all that has been suggested for days now? menu, 1570, emu on, press default, exit exit.etc.
what channels are missing?
try t/pest or other providers.

Read my reply to "starview USB no sky sports 1 help" in the General cable TV section this should help you guys out who need to update firmware, it has sorted out about 20 or more boxes....chuck
This is not a fix for cloned boxes as quite correctly pointed out by Jok...
