Stopping the freezing File

I have the carling v1.00 file on my starview 6 lan box, it works fine when the football is not on

When there is a big premiership game every1 watches the same channel ie sky sports 1 and therefore it starts to freeze alot

Do i need to update with this v 1.01 file and will it not brick my box

also do i need to delete v1.00 or just overwrite

can sum1 kindly take me through the step by step process of downloading this file onto my starview 6 box

How comes the bigmaq toolbar isnt updating itself with these new files

its only got carling v1.00 file for the starview 6

doesnt have v1.01 or v1.10

If v1.01 freezes alot more can i download carling v1.00 bak onto my box or will i be stuck with v1.01

I'm not sure if you can go backwards with the file but i dont see why you couldn't,
Its a newer file than the carling 1.00 so most likely to be more stable,
put mem stick in box while turned off.
You Just have to install the file through your menu - utility - usb - s/w upgrade caling 1.01 wait till fully rebooted to tv then turn off box & remove mem stick, turn box on,

if it works plenty will be happy with it,as Satsmo says bug fixes
and what they do or not only time will tell.

Thank you for confirming the new file,
My box has been fine & it was terrible, I even posted a message ( have i wasted my money) touch wood this has sort it out.

Vinit, can you check to see if file has loaded properly in your menu- utility- then installation, Should say Caling 1.01

how many people loading wrong file,as said go look and report back,also do a factory reset and auto scan with lan removed keycode enabled plug in lan and reboot box and router.

I've done this and will give feedback in 24 hours, loaded the correct Carling file :-)

How did this file work with the football today, im still waiting for my box to arrive, but going to load this file when it arrives.

Yes Carling 1.01 is the latest file for the SV6. It has an updated Cam fix and minor bug fixes. But it does not resolve every issue with the box.

How long it will remain glitch free is hard to tell, but given the history of the servers, (upload and download), I wouldnt hold my breath.

Perfect viewing through out the Manchester City vs. Liverpool FC game, shame about the score though no freezing!

I got the Starview 6, very easy to setup after reading these fourms first, have been watching sly sports since i setup this evening, no freezing on any chanlles and very clear picture with this firmware.
