    replacing starviews?

Hi guys I have had a good look round and i am still as confused about this, hopefully someone can give me some good advice. My two sons starview boxes died a couple of weeks ago, and i am looking to replace them. I don't want a dish, at the moment i have an internet connection and a router in one of the rooms upstairs, and hopefully the new boxes will be of the same price range, up to ?150. So please can someone recommend me a good replacement, any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

You have a choice of either Starview 6 or 7, or Kryptview a780 they all connect via Lan/internet
Check out prices and see whats available, I know the KV's are scarce at the moment.
    Hope this helps

They all connect to servers via Lan and cable. I have the KV A780, works very well. You can read up through the Tutorials under each section they are very informative.
Heard the SV's are only good for 12 months.

I keep hearing that starview will last 12 months who brought this rumours in the first place 12 months from what date we had starview6 in Ireland for over 12 months and now starview7 is hear and 6 is still working 8 is out mid April 2011 and to understand how this boxes are working before you jump on the wagon they work with the server and as long as the server will be running all LAN starview will be working if the server stops today that?s the end of it no guarantee I wish some one will give me 12 months guarantee I will be the first person to get a contract

after a bit more reading i read that you need a cable feed to run th KV A780 i only have broadband, which ran my starviews, are there any other options available that just need a broadband feed?

Plus an ethernet connection to your router, be it a long cable run or using homeplugs.

not sure if i'm missing something here, i took "cable feed" as being a cable tv lead coming into the house, or does it mean an actual cable, i'm getting more confused.
can anyone post exactly what is needed to run a KVA780 thanks.

The cable feed into the box and an ethernet lead connected to your router.

                    THE TRUTH
                    The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

So if you just have BB with them but no TV package then it will work fine, you have been using it to run starviews

So connections will be same as before with your starview plus an ethernet connection.
