Help with starview 7 setup

Hi guys im new to this, i got a starview 7 today and tried to setup using the instructions and had downloaded the firmware. When i first went to options and network it comes up with ip setup, sw download or home stream setup instead of net application ustream uk or ireland?? also when i went to usb the firmware was on it but there was no grooverider file and when i saved the firmware the machine didnt restart!! help!! excuse my ignorance if im doing it wrong!!

furry i got mine today aswell i had an old eurovox so not a geek at these starview but if im correct it should cum with the firmware on it m8 mine did.
WHAT I DID:first i input the virgin cable into the back of starview box went to menu on starview GO TO OPTIONS then in network change to USTREAM(for uk) ISTREAM (for ireland)then back in menu go to accessory and using the remote hit 8989 this will bring up the hidden emulator menu go into tht and make sure autoupdates are turned on. now proceed to scan let me know when you get that far

Hi there i got mine from mycablebox waited a while as they didnt have them in but theyve got them in now i just got it today.

ok i'l download it again!! thanks what should i do though before i flash it because it doesnt come up with istream or ustream? its just ip setup,sw download or home stream setup??

I downloaded the new firmware and it worked. i still didnt get the channels though should reset the box by factory default and start again??

Forget it ive done it!! Didnt realise the ustream came up after i uploaded the firmware!! Thaks for all the help!1

Got mine today. Loaded up the firmware, no problem. Turned on the emulator,no problem.Auto update no problem. Ustream no problem.

The problem I have is I can't find ANY channels when scanning.

Any tips welcome!

I have moved the router and modem to a different v****n inlet point. Also using a different ethernet cable and still not picking up ANY channels after a scan. Do you need to have a basic tv package from the said supplier or should it still work if you only subscribe to broadband?

Seriously frustrated and thinking of putting it on ebay.

Same here new HD+Combo box, read all the posts, followed all the instructions and I get 2 scrambled channels***8230;..not good. Is there a new set of instructions for the new HD+ box as there are tons of conflicting setup instructions ie Go to Utility and access USB, on my box USB is in accessories, is this just a small change not to worry about or have I got wrong software on? Also which is the correct area code for v****n as I have tried all 3 with no success. Last question, which is the correct software for this box and does it need firmware as well?
