this is to all who have problems with new starview 3 software you must make sure the software is for your box. starview 2 and 3 are very similar in looks .if you look at the top left on the the front of your box it will say the box super this is a starview 3. if it says just the box its a starview 2 the new software will only work on a super if you try the new software on a 2 the box you will get failed message when trying to download on to box. you will have to wait for new software for the box starview 2 ps thanks to everybody behind the scenes for all new updates

Finally, someone that has probably hit the nail on the head...this is probably why i am having the problem. i have always assumed that i had the starview 3, clearly it must be the starview 2 box as they do look very similar.

Starview 3 IS 'The Box Super', and will say 'The Box Super' on the front, not simply 'The Box', and it is the only version box that this fix is for. Does that help?

Box to PC cable

Can someone please specify the exact cable need to connect the Starview box to the PC to ensure that the firmware can be be uploaded to the box.

i only became a member of this site yesterday and would like to thank all involved with coming up with the new firmware for super box.updated my box with the update tonight and it works 100% and auto updated instantly many thanks to all
