I have a starview 3.....

love S*Y sprts 1 and 3 and other channels on the 747000mhz frequency......

any ideas how to get them back? I have done fractory reset...no good....

the only alternative it new firmware....

ideas are very very welcome...

welcome to dk,when you scanned did you have a splitter on coaxial cable,if so remove,factory reset 0000,auto scan your provider and emu to on.

its always (i think) 747000 mhz that give me gyp...

im in Leicester....

thinking of getting a konig cable tv/modem signal amplifier....recommended or not?

eliminated the splitter....

did factory reset....rescanned....turned EMu key on...went to a channel i know that works....data updated...

but still no s*y sprt 1,3, Nat Geo...and playboy...but not bothered about the latter ...

you reckon the node is down for 474000mhz or im just being damn unlucky...

I have also tried a manual scan on that freq and got jack in return...

spken to a friend of mine and he thinks my signal is weak....yet my 10mb b/band is a-ok..... (and yes i did turn off modem when i rescanned)

scratching my head furiously now...

any more suggestions??

try pressing default after turning emu on, then exit..also try another provider...

tried the default key option...

its just doesnt want to scan the 747000 channel...

will another provider work considering its only ever been ntl/virgin in this area?

said this before some times you have to rescan a few times to get all your channels back..

tried the diff providers.....this is the 8th scan of this evening....beginning to give up on this thing...been a good run tho...

need to grab a serial cable fomr work to flash with new firmware....

while scanning... it gets to TP56: 747000/6887 which gets a result of failed....

also noticed with each scan...it finds fewer channels....

any other thoughts?

what is the firmware on the box at present? if your getting sly sports 2 and other premium channels you dont need to flash the box. plus where are you from?

I can all the channels i watch except the 2 sports and nat geo

Im in Leicester....this was fine till yesterday....had the pool Vs gunners game on....left the room..c.ame back for a smoke and got 'no signal' msg on screen....been screwed since then....

try switching the box on and off a few times from the back and then rescan..

or it may be as simple as tps off line and waiting for repair,then you may get them back after a day or so.is that the latest firmware or is there a newer one?? v8.04
