is it finding any channels. or is it just not saving them. have you had it up and running on previous firmware.

I take it you do have a VM cable tv feed plugged in and that feed is live

First of all are you a paying cable customer?
If yes is your subbed box working.
Ensure you put the cable feed into the box.
              Go into the menu/installation/Auto.
Set your symbol rate for your area.
              Scan using all or free/scrambled.
Once that is complete you should have some if not all channels.
Exit out completely to a channel.
Power down box for a few seconds and reboot.
Below is availanle on the HD Combo so I am assuming the SV7 is similar.
              Next.......
              Go back into menu/Installation/Manual scan.
Select a frequency that is showing a signal and now select network scan then hit the scan button.
This will take approx 15 mins and should now populate any missing channels.
If all above fails you either have been disconnected outside and have no live cable feed coming in, your symbol rate is wrong or worse still a faulty box.
Once upon a time it was all about backdoor 0 passwords, now its only about the rsa keys !!!!!!!
              ---------------------------------------------

If this post has helped you........... Don't be shy and hit the Thanks button..
