no one gets told what each firmware does but usually fixes bugs in previous release 1.03 can be used in the sv6 and sv7
the 1.04 is just for the sv7 only.

Cable box only. Sky is satellite. Can be set up wirelessly with
home-plugs or wi-fi adaptor

I hear the clarling 1.4 is the laterest and working very well, but i am not sure yet. i have to try it

I have updated to 104 firmware, but now find I can get most of the channels except the ones that have got + 1 hour ie I get gold +1hour but not gold, and watch +1 hour but not watch etc ???? can anyone help ???? baffled !!!

Some people had this problem with 1.04. Flash box with 1.03 &
see will you get missing channels

I had 103 before and we did get everything, just froze every now and then. Thought by updating to 104 this may solve freezing probs. Do you mean put 103 back on and stick with it rather than 104 ? Is it necesssary to have 104 if 103 works ok ?

No, use whichever firmware you find is better on your box.
Freezing usually caused by server overload or weak signal. Make
sure all cables & connections are good. Ideally signal should be
90%+ for SV boxes. If you don't pay min TV subs signal may be
capped to lower level by provider

Try Carling 1.03 instead & you may pick up missing channels
You will have to enable settings when using 1.03 firmware
Fac reset before you scan for channels

I have gone back to 1.03, but still only getting +1 hour ?? did the factory reset and then set up but still not come back on. Have just got back from work and everything gone off apart from freeviews, does anyone know if the servers are down ??

Yes, looks like server down, although boxes are saying connected
but no data coming thru from server

i installed version 1.4 today updating from version 1.01 which was working fine now i have no channels all scrambled but free to air are still ok

Use the latest firmware Carling 1.04
Digital Kaos - Downloads - Starview 7 Carling V1.04
If your cable signal is good you shouldn't have picture break-up

Works perfectly on my machine and has fixed all of my issues. Many thanks indeed.
