I have a Starview 2 (The Box) and Starview PVR. It would appear from this and other forums that FW support is going to be limited if in fact none existant???? I have heard the reasonable argument that OK if they won't support older models release the source code on the open market as with Linux models. The reason they don't? Profit! They want existing customers to upgrade to the supported models. "Brand New Customers Only" The hero of the average Joe and working man has turned into Bill Gat*s and Richard Brans*n combined.
So yes I agree. In a time limited and risky market keep hold of your old DB2 boxes. PS anyone recommend a supplier for a genuine DB 500C?

we have been ripped off again always the same in the sat market from cams to boxes i have been in the sat game nearly 20 years and i have now given up with all the rip offs only dreambox seems worth having these days well folks that my moan for the day

Google dreamboxshop - ?159 and they state they're genuine.

The only thing that baffles me is that the same company that makes starview has made technomate recievers and the support on those is excellent, what's going on ?

Ive had one of these boxes for about 3 months but it looks as if we're not being supported either. Eurovox pve the ex 5000 was one of the first ones to get the new flash.But here we are a week later and still no sign for this box
