Turn off router & box. Reboot router then reboot box
Come back with details if you still have problems

if you update or reflash firmware you are told to do a factory reset and a fresh scan from direct feed and no lan connected, plug in lan after channels are loaded and reboot box and router.---- off then on.

They work when connected to TV cable connection & internet
They sell for around ?100 & you set them up yourself. If you buy
already set up you are going to pay more for the privilege

                            starview7 and using splitter

Hi all - please be gentle - new to digital kaos!

so i have a box and i've set everything up like this:

                            1. main v line into splitter then one cable into modem and the other into starview 7 (CABLE IN)

                            2. cable from modem ethernet to wireless router internet

                            3. cable from wireless router LAN to Starview 7 (RS232)

                            4. Then of course scart in starview 7.

My box worked yesterday for 20mins and then the internet connection went? Tried checking all connections etc and still no connection.

I am using a splitter so i tested to see whether i have a internet connection problem but when i took off the splitter and connected the v**** line directly to my modem i had internet connection.

I'm a little baffled as to why it worked and then suddenly now i have no connection through the splitter??

Do you think i need a new splitter as it is a old one since it worked fine? Perhaps the splitter isn't 'strong' enough to pass the connectivity to both? (complete rookie chat here as you can tell!!!)

First make sure all cables & connections are perfect. Check the
inner core of co-axial v***** cables is not in contact with outer
braid. Then turn off router & box, reboot router then reboot box.
If you need to replace splitter look for F-type(screw on) type with TAP connection If you can. They are better than regular
splitter when supplying modem & TV connection
