      if your home is 192.168.1.100 put 192.168.1.120 in save and reboot box and see if the light comes on

        just gave that a go but the light still hasnt came on, do you think its possible that the box is faulty ?

          sounds like the network is faulty , did u look in the internet port . theres a few very small wires in the there , make sure the straight

            had a look in all ports on the router, computer and rs232 port on back off the sv, its a d-link 615 router if thats any good ?

              rs232 is your serial port ? u looked in the one the internet cable goes in

                yeah took the network cable out the back off the sv7 checked that socket and the rs232 on the back off the sv7

                      wont do any harm to contact them,even though it is sold as a fta box.you are using it with the adapter yes

                        You have 2 boxes so you have 2 RS232 - LAN adaptors. I assume
                        you tried both adaptors. You could manually enter IP values of
                        working box in 2nd box exactly as they are without changing any
                        digits. Just disconnect working box from router & connect 2nd
                        box. I must admit it sounds like box is faulty, if so contact supplier & tell them you got 2 boxes & 1 has gone faulty. If they
                        refuse to replace box tell them you will post their name on here
                        and advise other members not to buy from them
