update the firmware to my starview box

got it.....stoopid f88kin pc... did a check and it setup usb-serial...on com 5 changed it to com 1...workin now...cheers tho...i knew i wasny doin anything wrong...just the usual...pc no talkin..

hi just new to this, can you help i just flashed my BOX S/V2 using i think you would call it firmware v4.30 I used the box_H20071015_454eE_api file and it said that it had done it susses fully .now i cant get a thing on it it just displays ON on the digital display on the box, when you switch it of the time is wrong and when it is switched back on there is nothing coming up on the tele .I used the same firmware last week on my friends and it worked. Can you help: bounce: PS OR IF IAM ON THE WRONGE THREAD can you point me in the right direction

WARE CAN GET v4.55 firmware for my sv2 the box ,

yes m8 , just the v4.55 into the sv2 the box , factory reset after ,menu 1570 , set keys default , set emu on , rescan channels

Is V4.55 the latest firmware image? Coz there is an image in the download section which will upgrade from 4.54 to 8.0e!!! Is it safe to do to that?

Ensure you have the Right firmware for your box (make sure its not a clone box)

Use GTrom to update download here YouSendIt - Send large files - transfer delivery - FTP Replacement

• You can leave it on default settings usually, (COM1/115200)
• Click on BIN File and select the new firmware.
• plug your box into the PC using null modem cable
• click on Download.
• Wait till it says completed and your done.
