No because of the floods they taped it to the head of a crocodile, so the picture may be intermittent for a while. Please do not adjust your TV sets. The corcodile knows what it's doing, so just be patient.

What I find incredibly annoying is the santimonious attitude of kryptview owners

A lot of people did not not know of starview reliability or Irish problems so why dump on them.

They may be off forever, or come back on in a minute but I have no way of knowing and I guess most others on here are just as clued up about it as me, guessing helps no one.

Back off flaming unless it just makes you feel better about yourself.

We are here to help each other out, are we not.

We should remember that a lot of SV owners are only here because their boxes have went down and they are here looking for help.

It's wrong of us (as a forum) to have a snide snigger at the benefit of anyone who had bought the machine without first having access to a forum like this.

I'm sure most people who bought their Starviews were told a pack of lies as is typical of your average trader.

How many were told the truth about how volatile the whole situation is?

                      Not many I'd say.

very well said my good man , although back in the day , i found this site when i was THINKING about buying a dreambox 500c , if any person in the last 8-12 weeks came on this site asking about starview or kryptview I have advised them to look in the sat section , i am sure the starview people are trying there best to get a server back up and running its just trying to find a server or host but the risks out weigh the monetary gain ,so my advice is to look in the sat section ....

Not trying to get anyones hopes up, but I was at the fair this saturday and spoke to the trader who sold me my sv7.

He said dont get rid of your box whatever you do cos he has spoken to his supplier who told him boxes will be back on within two weeks.

                                Reasons given:

People behind all this are too committed financially to let it all go down, there is currently over a million boxes involved and the stuff required to set it back up is being transported / set up as we speak.

I dont know about you but 1. the trader is not doing any trade in boxes at the moment (although he is selling other stuff) and 2. he wasnt in his interest to tell people to keep their old boxes and 3. his supplier said all previous boxes will come back on so all we can really do is wait and see...
