Any one help an OAP starview 1

I too may have found a fix for the starview 1 that I found on a yahoo groups but before I get everyones hopes up I need a cable to connect my laptop to the starview.
I will post my findings in the next couple of days.
Meanwhile I am updating manually, has anyone else noticed that some of the channels are now missing, especially the setanta channels?

that is on most sites you go to do not put that on ur starview 1 as u will brick it

the box is starview 2. The fix for this model been out a while

frequency change bud do factory reset then scan again they will come back
