Would sum 1 explained to me what?s the deferent between star-krypt-dream, they all run on LAN connections, we pay the server and they work, those boxes are money making machine for those who had the server connected, it has been a very big business for very rich business man, this has always been a monks game, because I know lots of people complaining lots of s*y server taking money and disappears with your hard earn money so why we still do it.

OK starview and kryptview are closed source boxes with their own servers the user cannot pick and choose which servers to use as server access is included in the purchase price, with starview it was reported to be only for the first year then most likely another box would be needed. However the starview server has been brought down by the powers that be and it looks like it may not be back online, i hope they do for the people who have them.

The Dreambox is flashed with an open source linux based firmware that allows the user to share their own subscriptions or join a card share server when configured properly to do so. there are satellite and cable versions the satellite being the easier set up. Cable cardshares are more difficult as the information required to set it up is not quite so easy to come by.

Star6-7 the Worlds smallest digital Linux set-top box with DVB-C Standard universal Cable TV tuner 250 MHz IBM PowerPC Processor (350 Mips) Linux Operating System 1 x Smartcard-Reader MPEG2 Hardware decoding Common available NIMs (DVB-S, DVB-C, DVB-T) V. 24 / RS232 Interface 10 / 100Mbit compatible Ethernet Interface 2 LED status Unlimited channel lists for TV / Radio.

Gadgetfiend you are not concentrating what I have mention on my thread end of the day they all work with the LAN connections and you can pick and choose if they are connected manually they are all Linux firmware and the only deferent between the sky and the cable is you put the c: line address in the dream box via some software and in the cable the address is on the motherboard so called the Mac via the ip address, for instant a modem is connected via a Mac address in order to get you connected to the server, the star is connected to the server via the Mac address so for instant if I run a star server I will ask you for your box ip address you pay them and they connect you for a year now if I have to ask millions of star customers for there Mac address it would be a time consuming that?s why you were connected automatically via the software addressed to the server and when the server got a new Mac address you are connected for a year. The bottom line is star can also be done the same way as dream providing some one has got the money to run the server. As I said if you want to take your chances you can but it?s the monk?s game.

you should be banned m8 your speaking utter rubbish there is no way you can get sv going without the makers blessing ie you would need source code of the boxes before you can write new firmware and enter new server address, the mac only allows sv to connect to sv server we all know about cs and that includes gf you dont as you are speaking crap

They started by saying kript is best, some 1 says dream is best and I had to tell some 1 to stop telling people either they are good or bad, because we are only hear to help each other when we are in a problem, but you do not tell good or bad on an item which are illegal in this country suppose sum 1 buys the kript and get caught he will come round and say sum 1 from DK told me to buy because its very good.

its people like you who spout crap

personally I am not into the cable side anymore, I am more into satellite side .. then again card sharing has always been underground, share with friends family people you trust, but once box's like Starview came out, and started to advertise card sharing openly then it was doomed .. simple as that

I am always willing to help people but when they ask daft questions like you do, then no point, its like talking to a brick wall

accept the fact card share on cable is dead and move onto satellite side.
