I agree with you m8, if i have to pay for tv then sky would be my choice, and maybe get into the satalite side of things, i know a lot of that as been stopped but based on some of the posts on here theres still a lot to play with, especially with a motorized dish.
And its a lot more fun than just watching tv

I've subscribed to both Vermin + Sly in the past and most of it's Barry White anyway ! for most of my viewing time , it just blabs away in the background .
Far more enjoy tinkering with the boxes and the crack on this site !
All the best to everyone for Christmas and New Year , many Thanks for all your help .Comment

I've got a motorised Sat Dish - so I would just card share and have thousands of channels to watch instead of the few I watch just now. I must admit I haven't used the sat much in the last couple of months but it's there to be used anytime I want.
Either that or I would just download stuff and watch it on the TV using my media station.Suck my plumsComment

It would be no loss to me, I don't watch much tv and the things that I do watch I can get from rapidshare or the pirate bay. I actually wanted to play with making my own images, video streaming all the really cool stuff the boxes can do.
But then I fscked up the ethernet port (some pins bent, twisted and snapped) with some dodgy homemade cat5 (cheap crimps) cable.
I have a real issue with virgin and sky, the fact that you pay them for their programming and they still get to show you lots of adverts - wtf? They don't seem to make or fund that much quality content with it (ok some stuff, but not as a regular thing like the BBC does).Last edited by tb888; 21 December, 2008, 22:50.Comment
