Alleged aftermath of a 90MPH impact...

Meaty, it's a Clio. If the passenger on a bus sneezed while looking at it, it would fall off.
A quick & basic physics lesson.
Yes 80mph whould be the relative speed at impact, taking that we are accepting the numbers given.
But, an impact at 40mph will show more or less damage depending on whever the car was braking or accelerating at the time of impact.
If the offending car was braking when the collision occured it will carry less momentum, which reduces the high energy forces experianced. Thus reducing the damage compared to not braking or accelerating.
Although all of this is bollocks in this case. It was a clio, so the driver obviously reversed into another car while leaving the Tesco car park

nara i have to disagree.
the op used the word " alleged" as he doesn't believe the source poster.
my personal view is that it was a nasty crash where the the drunk driver was proberly going slower than the original poster thinks, and maybe the original poster was travelling a little faster than he thought......
you have to remember the drunk driver would have made an attempt to stop and modern cars do stop alot more quickly these days.
the op also used the term " stumbled across",
question:
how the hell did he stumble across on a thread on a site that we both know he is banned from?
why on earth would someone question a thread, posted on a forum that he is banned from?
and start a thread on a rival (not sure thats the best word, but you get what i mean) forum?
i would like to know how he manged to "stumble across" it.
i question his motives....
, what are you some sort of Internet white knight?
No doubt about it, it was a nasty crash but the speeds the op quoted are IMO wrong.
I 'stumbled' across it because I was browsing a forum I was once a member of - is that a crime?
I posted my comments on here as I don't have an account on the other forum and couldn't post.
What is it to you how the fcuk I managed to see the post, fcuk off ya ride.
