        Probably not

3 bed roomed mid terrace, just me & the dog most of the week.

        Knackered back boiler & radiators

        Usual electrical shite

?40 per month combined on prepay meters. Rising a bit in winter.

@Solitare. Get your last bill & check the meter serial number against your meter. I'm willing to place money on the chances the wrong meter has been installed.
New builds are notorious for incorrect meter installations

After that get one of those usage monitors they like to give away & start to check when you're using the most elec. The plasma TV won't be helping, turn it off at the mains when not in use. Also try not to use the dryer.
If it's always showing higher usage than you would expect when nothing is being used, start turning off the ring main fuses, one-by-one, & check the difference in usage. If one shows a big drop in usage check to see what's on that ring main & if it's being used (microwaves, hoovers & kettles will always show high usage when in use). Being a new build I would be looking for wiring faults that are causing a slow earth.

I used to work for an electricity company & know only too well how thick some of the call centre staff are. Used to get into shit all the time with management for telling customers how to find faults. They have no interest or intelligence for solving problems.

Feel free to PM me for more help.

of course do remember the utility company's can calculate your bill to a penny if you have been paying 100/month and it dropped to you using 40/month they will investigate if you move into a house and use 40/month and the previous owner/tennant was using 100 you have to watch, buy a heavy jumper ,they can also get warrants to enter your house to investigate also

recently changed from eon now currently paying ?80 p/m for both gas & leccy with scottish power.

            recently refurbed solid end terraced,
used thermal plaster boards than the 9mm standard,
rooms keeps heat in much much better than before when previously the walls were only plastered,
including re-wire, intergrated electric appliances ie dishwasher, f/f, microwave, and oven, washer dryer in foyer and gas hob.
            3 kids, 3 bedrooms,

            seems resonable???
