Been thinking for a while now that I wanted to do an AFF course. There is an airfield about 30 minutes drive from me. Its on my 2012 list soon as the house is bought.
Couple of years ago my daughter did it and she absolutley loved it. Couldnt believe it when we watched the video after how cool she was before the jump.
She wanted me to do it but I just didnt have the guts and dont think I ever would.
Think you are on about different thing to what me daughter did, she was strapped to an instructor for a tandem jump but she still got a big buzz. You I think are talking about taking the course so you can do solo jumps.
If you are that would be a brilliant achievement to be able to jump solo and Im sure would be a bigger buzz than jumping tandem.
Yeah, I did static line about 13 years ago but was too poor to do the proper stuuf. Now I am looking for a new hobby and hear that free fall is 10x the rush of static, and probably the best rush in the world.
I did the tandem jump too, from 10,000 ft, too shitty to go alone. Free fall was amazing, the guy told me, your falling at about 170mph, don't remember how long for, and then he pulls the little shute thingy to slow ye down, then the main shute. Have to say though, what a ~~~~in relief when the shute opens .
did a static jump a few years ago and it was amazing closest i've come to a rush like that since, is in a cage when a great white shark is coming at you now that is a buzz

That would be my luck lee,mrs grumbles and i once leapt off some mountain in austria strapped underneath a pair of (according to the wife, two hunky krauts)and after five minutes of scraping my face through about five hundred yards of shingle and sheepshit i eventually took to the air. What was left of me landed in a field next to a pub where i got a beer and filmed mrs grumbles come down and ive never seen the cow look so happy...
